Unfortunately it has now become a trend, the Dallas Cowboys suffered another disheartening home loss. This time the Philadelphia Eagles celebrated a 34-6 win at “Jerry World”.

Game Summary
The game began with some excitement as the Cowboys welcomed back defensive star Micah Parsons, hoping his presence would ignite a turnaround in their disappointing season. However, the absence of quarterback Dak Prescott, due to injury, loomed large over the team’s offensive performance. Cowboys’ quarterback Cooper Rush struggled, managing only 45 yards from 23 pass attempts, as the Cowboys offense was dismal.
The Eagles dominated both sides of the ball throughout the game. The Cowboys’ offense was unable to find any rhythm, turning the ball over five times, which really hampered any chance of a late comeback. Jalen Hurts, despite facing pressure and turning the ball over twice himself, was effective in managing the game, leading the Eagles to score 27 unanswered points after a close 14-6 first half.

A Historical Disaster
This loss marked the fifth straight home game where the Cowboys trailed by 20 or more points, setting an NFL record. This streak began with last season’s playoff debacle against the Green Bay Packers and has continued through the current season. After winning 16 straight at home, this record-breaking streak is even more troubling.
Key Performers
- Jalen Hurts: 14/20 – 202-2 TD/1 int
- Saquon Barkley: 14 car – 66 yards
- A.J. Brown: 5 rec – 109 yards
- Cooper Rush: 13/23 – 45 yards
- Rico Dowdle: 12 car – 53 yards
- CeeDee Lamb: 6 rec – 21 yards
- Micah Parsons: 2 sacks – 1 FF

Looking Forward
At 3-6, the Cowboys face an uphill battle not just for the playoffs but for individual wins alone. The immediate task for the Cowboys is to address the glaring issues, particularly the quarterback situation with Prescott out and the offense’s inability to score. QB Trey Lance seemed provide some spark late going 4/6 passing, but was sacked twice and threw an interception.
Up Next for Dallas
The Cowboys host the Houston Texans next, providing them an opportunity to break this unfortunate streak, but with the current state of the team, it appears to be a tall task.
