Knicks Making First Consecutive Playoff Appearances Since The 2012-13 Season

The Knicks Are In!!

The Knicks have secured a place in the 2024 NBA playoffs, ensuring they won’t end up in the Play-In Tournament. This marks the first instance of the Knicks making consecutive playoff appearances since the 2012-13 season.
Though

New York’s playoff berth is confirmed, their exact position is yet to be determined.
The Knicks could land anywhere from No. 2 to No. 6 in the Eastern Conference standings.

If they secure the 2nd, 3rd, or 6th spot and progress to the second round, they will steer clear of facing the top-seeded Boston Celtics (if Boston also advances). Should the Knicks claim the 4th or 5th seed and move on to the second round, they are set to meet the Celtics.

In the previous season, the Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games in the first round and then blew it against the Miami Heat in six games in the second round.

The last time the Knicks progressed beyond the second round was in the 1999-2000 season, when they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Tonight the Knicks finish their road schedule at Boston. Let’s go Knicks!!!
