We’ve dropped our last two article plays so we are looking to get into the win column today. A two team cross sport parlay might be what the doctor ordered. We first head to the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada for the rubber matchup between the Blue Jays and the visiting Colorado Rockies. The Rockies are 4-11 to start the season and 3-7 on the road. Toronto comes in looking to get to .500 sitting at 7-8 on the season and 3-2 at home.
The Blue Jays have a huge pitching advantage on the mound with Jose Berrios who has started the 2024 campaign extremely well. Berrios is 2-0 with a 1.45 ERA and 8Ks. Hell be opposed by Kyle Freeland who has yet to make it out the 5th inning so far in his first two starts. Freeland is 0-2 with a 16.03 ERA and 4Ks. This is huge game for the Blue Jays to grab a series win before heading on the road to face the red hot Yankees.

For the second leg of our parlay we hit the ice, as the Carolina Hurricanes head to the United Center to take on the Chicago Blackhawks. Carolina is heading into the playoffs in good form winning four straight and 7-2-1 over their last ten contest. Chicago has lost three straight and are looking for their season to end to draft help for young phenom Connor Bedard. With two games left in the season the Hurricanes would need some help from the Rangers in order to clinch the Eastern Conference Championship, as they trail NY by three points. Carolina not only has that to play for, but is also tied with Boston for the #2 seed in the East. The Bruins have two games remaining and I’m sure Carolina would much rather see the Islanders in the first round over Tampa Bay. Look for both of these teams to take care of business and help us put some money in the account.
