The question being asked frequently by Cleveland Guardian’s fans recently, will Cleveland make the playoffs? Is the season over?

The Guardians this past week designated their recent acquisition for Amed Rosario, Noah Syndergaard, and many people are surprisingly upset with the departure of Rosario.

Rosario wasn’t going to be in the future plans for the Guardians, especially due to the fact that organization has a giant surplus of middle infielders in their farm system. The Guardians also traded Josh Bell for a really well rounded prospect from the Marlins, Kahlil Watson.

Bell apparently has found his swing finally while in Miami, following his stint in Cleveland where he struggled to perform in the Guardians middle of the lineup.

Even though the Guards have an extremally youthful pitching rotation, the team has a bright future ahead, and with a recent stretch of starts by Tanner Bibee, Gavin Williams, Logan Allen, the future could very well be now.

Cleveland has added some interesting pieces following the MLB Trade Deadline with Kole Calhoun, and Ramon Laureano, both players forcing the Guardians to possible change their future plans. Josh Naylor is also expected to return back to the lineup after dealing with an oblique injury for a few weeks.

To say the least, with September around the corner, the Guardians may just make the MLB Playoffs in typical Guardians fashion, unexpectedly. Plenty of times last season Cleveland brought up prospects to perform on the big league stage, and when we flip the calendar to September, I wouldn’t expect anything differently.

The biggest benefit of this all, the Guards play in the worst division in baseball. With plenty of matchups ahead with their division foe, the Minnesota Twins, both teams will see who more than likely will represent the AL Central in the 2023 MLB Playoffs.

Lastly, don’t forget that Cleveland could possibly see the returns of either Shane Bieber to their rotation or, Triston McKenzie.

September baseball is right around the corner fans, be ready to buckle up.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
