The Browns are looking to revamp their defense in 2023, and with the newly hired Jim Schwartz as defensive coordinator, Cleveland could look to add a few pieces that are familiar with the newly appointed leader of the Browns defense.

According to Jared Mueller of Dawgs by Nature, he is hearing that Fletcher Cox, and Brandon Graham, have an interest in joining their former Eagles defensive coordinator in Cleveland. Cox and Graham are both free agents.

Cleveland finished 14th in the NFL in total defense, 25th against the rush, and 5th against the pass. The Browns struggled on the defensive line, so adding a veteran defensive tackle, and defensive end, could surely help.

Fletcher Cox is a 6′ 4″ 310 lb DT who was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012. He is a six-time pro bowler and was a first team All-Pro in 2018. He had 65 total sacks in the NFL with 13 fumble recoveries and 3 touchdowns.

Brandon Graham is a 6′ 2″ 265 lb DE who the Eagles took in 2010. He made the pro bowl in 2020, and has 70 total sacks in his professional career along with 7 fumble recoveries and 1 touchdown.

The Browns could benefit having these players as they both were with Jim Schwartz in 2018, when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Cleveland needs to reestablish a winning culture and both men are tough with a hard-nosed attitude that would greatly benefit Schwartz and the Browns defense.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
