The East Carolina Pirates head to Dallas Texas, as they take on the SMU Mustangs.
Sunday’s 3pm showdown at the Moody Coliseum will be a revenge game for SMU who fell to East Carolina on February 4th ,77-72.
East Carolina comes into this matchup with a ton of momentum after defeating Cincinnati earlier on this week. The road hasn’t been kind to ECU as they’re just 1-6 on the season.
Good news is, we aren’t asking them to get just their second road win of the season, we just need them to cover.
Oddsmakers have East Carolina as 7 point underdogs. ECU has gone 15-9-1 against the spread this season and 9-5-1 when underdogs. SMU has gone just 2-8-1 when favorited.
Neither one of these teams are great and SMU will be looking to even up the series, but this line should be around -4, if oddsmakers believe SMU is going to win this game. The Mustangs are just 6-8 at home and are terrible at the free throw line, I believe that should help keep this game close.
