April 4, 1994 – It was a beautiful day in Cleveland and the start of a historic renaissance for Cleveland sports, and downtown Cleveland in general as it was baseball opening day but, more importantly it was the opening of Jacobs Field. Cleveland finally had a gem for a baseball stadium and the events of that day were beyond magical. It started out with the first pitch thrown by President William J. Clinton and ended with a walk-off win in extra innings.
