The Texas Longhorns will march into Athens Georgia, to face the Georgia Bulldogs, on Saturday evening. The atmosphere will be loud and rambuctious with a sea of red. There will be a strong support of Longhorns fans as well, who will make the trip from Austin.

Here are Five off keys to the game, that could guide the Longhorns to a upset win, and move in the rankings and strenghten their college football playoff aspirations. If the Longhorns win outright they are guaranteed a college football playoff spot, and possibly a trip to the SEC championship game.

1.) Be efficient in the Run Game:

Georgia is one of the most stingiest run defenses in the nation. They give up under 100 yards a game. It will be very difficult for the Longhorns to run the ball efficiently. That beed said, Head Coach Steve Sarkisian will have to mix it up on offense, with some screen plays, and RPO early in the contest. If they can do that, Archie Manning will not be put in compromising postions with third and long situations.

2.) Archie Manning and Ryan Wingo clicking:

Archie Manning and Ryan Wingo have been clicking, with the deep ball, as shown in the game vs Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. Going deep to Wingo, on the first series of the game, against Georgia will put the Bull Dogs on their heels and open the run game.

3.) Special Teams:

Kickoff and Punt specialis Ryan Niblett, has been gold this year as shown in the Mississippi State game and all season long. When it looked like the longhorns season was lost, he always came up with the big punt return to galvanize the team and offense. He is also been a good surprise on the offense as well. This game might be won or lost in the kicking game. Mason Shipley has to make the big kicks when called upon.

Communication on Defense:

In the game vs Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, there were huge communicaton breakdowns on the defense. Getting Michael Taffe back in the Seondary will be a huge difference maker, as he is the heart and soul of the defense.

Archie Manning making Special plays:

The Longhorns don’t need Archie Manning to carry the team on his back, but he needs to make some key plays that will lead them to victory. Manning will have to be special at some point in the evening, and he will be. Georgia’s defense hasn’t been elite, as some people think they are, and they will give Manning some plays he can exploit, and he must take advantage of those.

Final Score and Fearless Prediction:

This game will come down to which team makes the big plays, and plays error free football in key moments. For Texas, its staying out of Third and Long situations in order to move the ball effectively. On the defensive side of the ball, the Longhorns must communicate well and avoid breakdowns. This game will come down to wire. The Longhorns are peaking at the right time, and things are falling into place. Look for Texas to score a last minute touchdown and keep it rolling .

Final Score: Texas 31 Georgia 24
