PITTSBURGH – This was a back and forth game all the way through. Ill be honest, the Jets seemed to have controlled most of the game. Justin Fields (16/22 218 yards, with 3 Total TD) looked great all throughout the game. Calm, cool and collected going up against his former squad.

Veteran Aaron Rodgers knew he had to step his game up a bit, and he did, utilizing all of his receivers. Rodgers finished 22/30 with 244 passing yards and 4 TD. The Steelers receiving core was led by DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin. Metcalf finished with 4 rec and 83 receiving yards, and Austin with 4 rec and 70 rec yards and a TD.

The Jets led the Steelers going into halftime 19-17, and the Jets went up another touchdown in the 4th quarter, leading 26-17. The Steelers woke up in the 4th quarter, and out scored the Jets 17-6. Ultimately taking the lead 34-32. Now, how did we get to that final score? The Steelers defense was lock down in the 4th. Led by Chuck Clark’s 8 total tackles, along with linebackers Alex Highsmith and Patrick Queen who also had 8 total tackles.

We get down to the. Two minute warning, and the Steelers are trailing the Jets 32-31, and Rodgers knows he has to get the offense at least in field goal range, and at the end of the day.. he didn’t, BUT that’s okay… NFL veteran kicker Chris Boswell thinks he can answer the call. Lined up for a 60 yard field goal, the longest attempt in Boswell’s career. With 1:03 left on the clock. The snap is good, hold is down, and Boswell boots the ball 60 yards right down the middle to give the Steelers the lead.
Now, with a minute left on the clock, Fields has the opportunity to march his offense down the field into field goal range to win the game for the Jets. Once again the Steelers defense had something else in mind. There is 18 seconds left in the game, its 4th and 3 for the Jets. Fields is scrambling around the pocket looking for an open receiver down field. Just before the line of scrimmage, Fields finds WR Garrett Wilson for a first down… so we thought. Flying up the field to make the tackle, Jalen Ramsey lays a HUGE hit on Wilson knocking the ball free and causing an incomplete pass, securing the win for the Steelers.
