And that’s a wrap. The Dallas Cowboys played their final Pre-Season game, vs. the Atalanta Falcons on friday evening at AT&T Stadium.

The Cowboys second unit offense led buy Joe Milton, looked more fluid and much better. Jayden Blue, finally made his Cowboys debut and had a good game, scoring a touchdown and his blocking on the blitz its what stood out. With that been said, here is my potential 53 man roster, with final cuts due, buy 3PM eastern on Aug 26.

Offense: (2)

Quarterbacks: Dak Prescott, Joe Milton

Running Backs:(4): Jaden Blue, Javonte Williams, Hunter Luepke, Deuce Vaughan, Phil Mafah

Wide Receivers: (5) Ceedee Lamb, George Pickens, Kavonte Turpin, Jalen Tolbert, Ryan Flournoy.

With Jonathon Mingo on injured reserve to open the season, that might have saved Tolbert’s spot for now.

Tight Ends (4) Jake Ferguson, Luke Schoonmaker, Brevyn Spann Ford, Princeton Fant.

Four tight ends might be a little generous, as Luepke will get some tight end as well. Jake Ferguson’s numbers should get back to his 2023 season as he will be clicking on all cylinder, with Dak Prescott back from injury.

Offensive Line: (9) Tyler Guyton, Tyler Smith, Cooper Beebe, Tyler Booker, Terrance Steele, Nate Thomas, Hakeem Adeniji, Brock Hoffman, T.J Bass.

Tyler Guyton’s status to start for the opener Sept 4 vs the eagles is still in doubt, but will the reports from training camp, but he is progressing nicely and should be ready if all goes well this week. If Guyton is a no go then Nate Thomas will start. Tyler Booker the rookie from Alabama has played the part as a rookie and should be a bookend.

Defense:

Defensive line:(11) Micah Parsons, Osa Odighizuwa, Solomon Thomas, Dante Fowler Jr. Marshawn Kneeland, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Sam Williams, Perrion Winfrey, James Houston, Payton Turner, Mazi Smith.

The million dollar question in Cowboys nation? Will Micah play Week 1: And James Houston makes the team as per his stellar camp, and in the 3 preseason games, especially vs. the Falcons on Friday evening:

Linebackers: (5) Damone Clark, Shemar James, Marist Liufau, Kenneth Murray Jr. Jack Sanborn.

This could be the strength of the Cowboys defense, as Defensive Coordinator, Brian Ebberflus defense starts at the Linebacker position. Liufau looks like a elite linebacker, as he had a very impressive rookie season.Damone Clerk looks like he is back to his normal self. Jamar James has really impressed in the pre season and will be great on special teams as well. Sanborn played for Brian Eberflus in Chicago, and will anchor this linebacker core.

Cornerbacks: (6) Trevon Diggs, DaRon Bland, Kaiir Elam, Zion Childress, Andrew Booth, Kemon Hall.

It doesn’t appear that Trevon Diggs, will be ready to go vs. the Eagles in the season opener or even the home opener.

Safeties: (4) Donovan Wilson, Malik Hooker, Markquese Bell, Juanyeh Thomas.

Malik Hooker has been around the ball all summer. Donovan WIlson is a big baller over the middle, and Bell and Thomas are great reserves and special teamers:

Special Teams: (3) This is one position for the Cowboys, where there will be know surprises. The man with the Automatic Leg, Brandon Aubrey has been amazing in pre season as usual. He hit a 64 yard field goal, vs. the Falcons, but he could have kicked it from 70 yards. Punter Brian Anger was solid last year, and LS Trent Sieg snaps have been consistent. And C.J. Goodwin will make the final roster as well. The Cowboys as they do every year, will put him on the practice roster, and will keep a spot open for him somehow on the final 53 man roster, as he is a valuable member on the special teams.
