#16. The Rockies select Tyrelle Chadwick 22 year old pitcher with the 527th pick, from Illinois State. Born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Chadwick’s dad Ray played for the Angels in 1986. Chadwick worked a team-high 77.1IP in 2025. Chadwick pitched for the Illinois State Redbirds in the NCAA Division One for the past three seasons. In 2025, Chadwick made 12 starts in 14 appearances, posting a 6-3 record, one complete game and a 4.31ERA.
#17. Hayden Cuthbertson, The Miami Marlins picked Cuthbertson 528th from the University of Miami Ohio, Hayden a 21 year old lefty from British Columbia. The 6’2″ left Cuthbertson struck out 43 batters over 42.1IP this spring, while working as a starter and reliever. Cuthbertson finished the season wit ha 4-2 record over 10 starts. Cuthbertson’s quick rise as an impactful player was impossible to ignore. With a strong work ethic and consistent performance, he’s proven himself as one of the top players in the country joins the professional ranks as part of the 2025 draft class.
#18. Atlanta selects Ryan Heppner 577th, Heppner a 20 year old right handed pitcher from British Columbia a guy who actually stayed home for college baseball, Ryan attended the University of British Columbia. The 6’1″ righty posted a 3.96ERA and 41K over 38.2IP, working as both a starter and reliever, as the Thunderbirds advanced to the NAIA World Series this spring. His brother Sean was drafted by the Cleveland Guardians out of UBC in last year’s draft.
#19. The final Canadian player drafted by the Dodgers, their 3rd Canadian draftee is 17 year old pitcher Shane Brinham from Vancouver British Columbia, Committed to attended Michigan, Brinham has a 3 pitch mix, fastball, slider and changeup. He took a step forward this season with the Junior National Team and the North Shore Twins. A 6’2″ lefty, Brinham has touched 93MPH with his fastball. Definitely room to grow and improve The Dodgers see something in this youngster.
