#11. With the 197th pick the Colorado Rockies select Antoine Jean a power lefty reliever from the University of Houston, labeling him as the best pitcher in the Big 12 PERIOD. Jean amassed 110K in just 67IP with 5 saves, he boasts a 4 pitch arsenal fastball, changeup, curve and slider which is a lot of pitches for a RP albeit someday he could become a starter. Antoine Jean a tad older than most of the guys talked about thus far he is 24 a 2025 graduate and here a some of his accolades just to name a few this list is quite long actually (guy is a stud)
Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year, First relief pitcher in Big 12 history to win conference Pitcher of the Year, NCBWA Stopper of the Year Finalist, Led the Big 12 in ERA, K/9, K/B, H/9, WHIP while posting the second most strikeouts, and third most saves, All-Big 12 First Team Relief Pitcher, Second relief pitcher in program history with 100+ strikeout season, Multiple strikeouts in all 21 appearances, Nine outings without a walk, 12 scoreless relief appearances, lastly 110 strikeouts most by a Cougar pitcher since 2018.

#12. Almost 100 more picks till the next Canadian was selected 284th, Ty Doucette by the Cincinnati Reds a 21 year old first baseman from Halifax, Nova Scotia. A product of Rutgers University in 2025 his team leading .988OPS in 57 games, he had a .350AVG and hit 13HR, with 54RBI and ended the season with a 12 game hitting streak.
After two school years at Rutgers, Doucette said, “I’m ready for the professional challenge.”

“It was motivating to get to this point but now that I’ve reached this goal, it’s more motivation to get to the next goal, which is to be a Big leaguer.” “I’m going to keep doing what I have been doing for the last five years, work hard, put my head down and keep going.” “Hopefully, in five years, I will meet my next goal to be a Big Leaguer. All you need is one opportunity and then you run with it.”

#13. The Reds select another Canadian with the 354th pick Carson Latimer, a 21 year old pitcher from British Columbia who attended Sacramento State. The 6’3″ righty worked as both a starter and relief pitcher. After making the switch to starter in April, Latimer posted a 3.74ERA heading into the conference tournament. He has allowed just two earned runs in 21IP making that a 0.86ERA with a 2-0 record and a terrific BB to K ratio of 7 walks with the 21 putouts and 0.857WHIP. Reds fans got a lot to be pumped about with this kid.

#14. The Royals select 19 year old shortstop Tyson Moran from Stratford, Ontario in the 13th round with the 398th pick, Moran has a .387AVG, 5HR, 8 doubles, 3 triples with 6 walks and a excellent 1.069OPS, Moran has been one of the fastest rising Canadian prospects, showing well with the CPBL’s Canadian Premier team against professional competition.

#15. Connor Hamilton selected 413th, a 19 yr old pitcher from Calgary, Alberta. by the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 6’4″ 195lb right hander has a 4 pitch mix, fastball which averages 94MPH, a curveball and changeup. The slider is what is impressing scouts. Hamilton is currently committed to Vanderbilt. Not much more can be said about Hamilton at this time, another one of the wait and see approaches.
