Vientos has been struggling with his hit selections, and while he could improve, it is also frustrating to see. The Mets’ young third baseman could bounce back by adjusting throughout the season.
While Vientos could make the adjustments to improve this season, Baty needs to improve for the team. The Mets’ young infielder has struggled in the majors, even with significant minor league numbers. Baty has been hitting around .200 to start the year, and if he doesn’t show improvement he could be a trade piece. If the young players make adjustments, New York’s young players could make the offense a dangerous part of the team’s championship dreams.

If the New York Mets make these crucial improvements, the team could be a sure-shot contender for a World Series title. If they get hot, the Mets’ offense could be dangerous and beat the Dodgers’ pitching. The pitching of the Mets could go toe-to-toe against the best. Overall, New York’s season start could bode well for a fantastic season as a whole.
