SCW Pro returned to the Blue Grass Community Center for their biggest show of the year, EPIC. Feuds come to a head and all the titles are on the line over the course of the evening.

SCW Pro Tag Team Championship: Thumb & Finger vs. Rizzky Bizzness (c)

Thumb and Finger had recently reunited after several years and a feud, to win a shot at the tag straps in a gauntlet match. Before the match begins, the two teams battle for the love of the crowd, and despite Thumb getting a makeover to look like Officer Doofey from Scary Movie, the crowd is thoroughly behind Thumb and Finger. Did I just turn heel? No, I couldn’t have. I didn’t praise the 1 Called Manders. Never mind that! Rizzky Bizzness attacked the challengers! Thumb and Finger had not lost a step, getting into their old tricks before the champs took over. The challengers overcame the odds and a shot with the title belt, with Thumb hitting a pedigree and stunner en route to becoming the new SCW Pro Tag Team Champions!

We get a promo video from Joe Carrey, who claims that BeeGee the Gorilla is ruining his career. No one wants to insure against gorilla attacks. However, Carrey has had enough and on May 17th it will be Guerilla Warfare! Um…Joe…BeeGee is behind you! Carrey runs away from the angry gorilla.

Brandon Becker vs. Lonzo Romero

There was little clapping made for “The Chicano,” as we were all riding our low riders along with him. Becker was especially mouthy tonight. That strategy seemed to have worked initially, but Romero made relatively quick work of Becker, ending things with a knee trembler.

The Chosen (Augustus Draven, Malik Champion, & Casey Jax) vs. Tigre Amore, Carlos Oliva, & Johnny Wisdom

Jax recently ended his partnership with Tigre to join the Chosen. Jax totally revamped his look, and I will have to talk to Eric Eznite about how sinful it is. The match started with musical legal men, as the Chosen members would demand a specific opponent then tag out. This got in the head of Tigre Amore, who spent the majority of the match under the boots of the Chosen. Tigre would make the hot tag and everything broke down with bodies everywhere. Tigre and Jax were tagged back in and they confronted each other. Tigre loved Jax, Jax was always better. Obviously, that was not the case as Jax fell victim to a GTS followed by the Tigrelbow to give Tigre, Oliva, and Wisdom the win.

QC Cup: Ript Studwell (c) vs. James Thomas
Prior to the match, a promo video of James Thomas plays. Thomas relays that this is the third match and he realized that he needs that Cup to prove he’s better. The Cup will fix him…or Ript will put Thomas out of his misery. Either way, Thomas wins. The action starts hot with wild strikes being thrown by both parties. Lots of back and forth action and both competitors kicked out of each other’s finishers. Thomas is unmasked, providing the fans’ first look at Thomas without his nose guard in quite some time. Thomas goes for his hammer, but the ref physically stops him. Ript locks Thomas into a crossface. When it looked bleak for Thomas, Brandon Becker arrives to keep Thomas from tapping out. With Becker running distraction and not getting Thomas disqualified, Thomas got access to the hammer—which he used with gusto. One more TKO and we have a new QC Cup holder!

After the match, Thomas repeatedly beat Ript with the QC Cup. Evidently the cup was too dangerous for the ref who called for Marek Brave and security to put a stop to this assault.

David Ratel v. Dominik Zagreus v. Kaia McKenna v. Mason Beck v. Matt Mayday
Poor Kaia, they buggered up her entrance. Has to fight to get booked and this happens. We’ll fix it in post…what? We’re live? Ope. Anyway…everyone wants a piece of the big man, Beck, at the start of things. However, it does not take long for things to break down and everyone is getting their stuff in. The newcomer, Ratel, wows the crowd with his athleticism. At the end, it was Beck standing tall after decimating Zagreus with a Beck Bomb. Matt was late to break up the pin and stormed off in a huff…like he doesn’t know who he is anymore.

Deonn Rusman vs. Dustan Moseley
We are starting off hot! The ref tries to separate the two instead of just starting the match…he eventually gave up and started the match. Lots of brawling outside…ref gave up counting as well. The “Devil Dog” controlled a majority of the match once things settled in the ring. Rusman exploded with some power to turn the action back and forth. The competitors stole each other’s finishers, but to no avail. Both are upset with the quality of reffing. Something we all can agree on. Dawg is taken down, defiantly throwing Rusman the double birds. Rusman had enough and put the sitting Devil Dawg away with a spear.

SCW Pro Iowa Championship: Corn Boi vs. John Bonhart (c) w/Mark Storm & Tori Fox

Mark Storm is channeling his finest Paul Ellering, adding spikes to his jacket. Corn Boi starts off hot, but the numbers were too much for him as Storm and Fox ran distraction. Corn Boi does mount a comeback and hits his diving dropkick for two. Corn Boi sent Bonhart into Storm, causing and injury to Storm’s knee. Using Storm’s injury as a distraction, Bonhart used Fox as a weapon before putting him away with a double-underhook facebuster into a short-arm clothesline to retain the championship. The power of victory healed Storm’s knee so he could celebrate under his own power.

SCW Pro Championship & if Hollister wins, he is free of the Chosen: Shane Hollister vs. Eric Eznite (c) w/The Chosen
Shug starts off with two tope suicidas on the Chosen. The Chosen are quick to take revenge on Shug for such a transgression. Eznite was quick to capitalize beating down the challenger with strikes and holds targeting the midsection. Shug shows poor ring awareness on the comeback and throws Eznite into the referee. The Chosen run in and Shug dispatches them once again. Eznite drops Shug with the Epiphaknee. Ref Riley comes in and can only count to two. Eznite hits the Epiphaknee on Riley! With Riley out, Shug aims one through Eznite’s uprights. Shug now has the SCW Pro Championship belt. Eznite begs off Shug. Shug drops the belt and hits the buzzsaw kick. Cover, Stripes runs biasedly to the ring and counts the three! New champ! Yay. Shug gets on the mic and thanks everyone who stood by him all this time to end the event.
