The Cincinnati Reds have traded for lefty reliever Taylor Rogers from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for AA pitcher Braxton Roxby via Robert Murray. Rogers threw 60 innings in 2024, compiling a 2.40 ERA in 64 games. He struck out 64 batters opposed to 22 walks. Rogers is a reliable back of the bullpen pitcher and a great left hand option out of the Reds bullpen. He utilizes a sinker that averages 93 MPH and a sweeper that has great movement. The Giants are reportedly sending Cincinnati $6 million to cover part of the 34 year olds’ $12 million salary for 2025.
