So both Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney are back this May! However, it won’t be the rematch boxing fans are looking for. Instead the two fighter will co-headline the first Ring Magazine USA boxing card.

After meeting with Turki Alalshikh last week in London, we are getting this card, what is expected as a tune up for both fighters after a year layoff, before hopefully Haney Garcia 2 happens.

This card marks the first USA event by Ring Magazine, showcasing several high-profile bouts:

  • Main Event: Ryan Garcia vs. Rolando “Rolly” Romero. This matchup is anticipated to have a wild and exciting buildup given both fighters’ styles and personalities, with some predicting an easy knockout win for Garcia.
  • Co-Main Event: Devin Haney is scheduled to face Jose Ramirez. This fight adds significant weight to the card, bringing together two highly skilled boxers in an intriguing matchup.
  • Additional Bout: Martin Bakole will take on Efe Ajagba in an IBF final eliminator bout for the heavyweight division. Bakole knocked out Jared “Big Baby” Anderson in the Los Angeles Riyadh Season event in 2024

The event has already generated considerable buzz on social media platforms, with fans and commentators discussing the potential outcomes and the spectacle of the build up between Rolly Romero and Ryan Garcia.

The card is being named after the upcoming game “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves”, as a part of a partnership between the Ring Magazine and SNK Corporation.

What do fans think?? Chime in on 𝕏 where you catch the latest, my handle is @vinquezada1 and we will also be discussing the fight card on this weeks episode of my podcast “Vinny’s Corner”.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
