For this weeks article we are doing a two team parlay. For our first leg we head to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas as the Dallas Cowboys host division rival Washington Commanders. The Cowboys will end their disappointing season at home holding a 2-6 record at Jerry World. This could also be Mike McCarthy’s last game coaching Dallas. With a win last week against Atlanta, Washington was able to punch their ticket to the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

Commanders head Coach Dan Quinn is Dallas former defensive coordinator and would love to defeat Dallas on his way to the postseason. Washington previously loss to the Cowboys back in November at home. Its tough to defeat a division rival twice in a season and Quinn would want his upstart Washington team to go into the playoffs riding the confidence of a win.

For our second leg we head to Detroit for the battle of the NFC North Championship. The Detroit Lions welcome in the Minnesota Vikings, who are one of the biggest surprises this season behind QB Sam Darnold. The Lions have been decimated with injuries on defense and that was clearly on display in Detroits last matchup against San Francisco. Brock Purdy was able to move the ball with ease, but costly turnovers let Detroit comeback and hold on.

This will probably be the most exciting game of the week as Minnesota also comes in on a nine game winning streak. Detroit beat the Vikings 31-29 back in October, but this Vikings team is playing with a ton of confidence at the moment. I expect this game to come down to the final possession as we crown a conference champion.
