It’s a story as old as time.

The Chicago Bears aren’t helping out their young signal caller, despite heroic play from him.

Caleb Williams faced arguably his toughest test versus a Brian Flores led defense in the Vikings and passed with flying colors.

He kept the Bears in the game to give them a chance at an onside kick late. He set them up with a 48 yard attempt to tie. He did almost everything right but his team and more importantly his coaching is still a major hurdle.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

The things that keep the Bears from taking the next step are the same reasons they haven’t made a consistent winning presence in a decade.

It all comes down to details. Usually, most games come down to 1 score, and the Bears record over the last 3 years in those games is 5-18.

Not finding a way to win games eventually will cause organizational change and the change has been long overdue.

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
