On November 2nd, SCW Pro held The Harvest from the Blue Grass Community Center in Blue Grass Iowa. Timothy Regal and The Voice of SCW Pro, Alex McCarthy, are calling the action.
Deonn Rusman vs. Dominik Zagrius
Rusman returned to SCW Pro expecting an early night against the rookie Zagrius. It was looking to be that way until Rusman missed a spear attempt and crashed into the ring post. Zagrius then showed promise, taking it to the former SCW Pro Champion. Unfortunately, he also spent a lot of time bickering with the referee. Like what was the ref going to do? Give Zagrius a stern lecture? Either way, this allowed Rusman enough time to recover and successfully hit the spear to put the upstart away.
Augustus Draven vs. Lonzo Romero
Draven was not going to allow “The Chicano” into the ring, dropkicking Romero while Romero was seated on the ring apron during his entrance. Draven beat down Romero with clubbing blows, while proclaiming himself to not be “Emo Braveheart”. Draven is technically correct, he is now “Chosen” “Emo Braveheart”. Regardless of the name calling, Draven looked to have the match in hand until Romero fired back. Romero enough got revenge by dropkicking Draven off the ring apron! However, the devious Draven distracted the referee while hitting a low blow, followed up by a cave-in stomp to claim victory.

Brandon Becker w/James Thomas vs. Jared Thumb
Thomas and Becker are out with their paper bags to hide the ugly members of the crowd. Unfortunately, he did not bring enough for everyone. Thomas told Thumb that he is saving one bag for Thumb’s ugly baby. Thumb has had enough and attacks! Despite starting off hot, Thumb did not calculate the repeated interference from Thomas and his hammer. Just when things looked the most dire for Thumb, Thomas decided it was hammer time. Becker held Thumb up and Thomas charged with the hammer. However, Thumb moved and Thomas hit Becker! How this was not a disqualification, I don’t know (ref bias). Either way, victory was Thumb’s as he pinned the newly unconscious Becker for three.

JP Finger vs. Shane Hollister
The Shug was not looking forward to Finger’s shenanigans, trying to convince Finger to wrestle. Finger actually out wrestled Shug until consent revoked. No means no, whatever the context. This also applied to buzzsaw kicks, as Finger ducked the fatal buzzsaw kick and pinned Shug with a rollup. Augustus Draven is now out and attacks finger. Krotch comes out to make the save. This leads to…
SCW Pro Championship: Eric Eznite w/Shane Hollister & Augustus Draven vs. Krotch
The match starts off hot with neither competitor maintaining their offensive advantage for long. Eznite and Krotch even battled on the ring apron, which led to Eznite hitting the ring post with the epiphan-knee. Krotch proceeded to work the injured leg, but almost fell to an epiphan-knee. With the ref refusing to throw the “X” to acknowledge Eznite’s injury, Eznite took matters into his own hand as tried to leave and lose via countout. Krotch, realizing that he cannot win the championship via countout, chased after Eznite. The two brawled ringside with the Chosen and JP Finger also getting involved, until the biggest shock of the night occurred when the ref counting ten.
We return from intermission with Joe Carrey coming to the ring on crutches. It turns out that he does not need them, as he walked up the ring steps unassisted. Carrey hit the crowd with the jokes of the day…or at least what he called jokes. He ended the set with a joke noting the differences between the Blue Grass citizens and gorillas, when a giant gorilla entered the community center. How that beast entered and exited the ring, I don’t know, but most importantly, he destroyed Carrey with a chokeslam.

Casey Jax vs. Calvin Kelly
Kelly talks a lot…but still won’t explain to us old people what “rizz” is. Plenty of back & forth between two of the younger members of the SCW Pro locker room. Jax looked to put things away when a wild Cash Kennedy appeared and pushed Jax off top rope. Kelly finished Jax off with the blockbuster. After the match, Kennedy assists Kelly with a beat down of Jax. Tigre Amore comes out to assist his partner and leads to the next match…

Tigre Amore w/Casey Jax vs. Cash Kennedy w/Calvin Kelly
Tigre es en fuego until Kennedy goes for the eyes. Calvin Kelly interferes every chance he gets while Jax mostly hangs out. Despite my snark, Jax neutralized Kelly when it was most important, knocking Kelly off the ring apron with a triangle dropkick. Tigre then hit the Amore elbow to pick up the win.
Riptcorn (Ript Studwell & Corn Boi) vs Bald is Beautiful (JT Energy & John Bonhart w/Mark Storm)
Corn Boi is psychotic throwing popcorn and spouting off nonsense. Bonhart is smart and does not want anything to do with that and tags in Energy. Corn doesn’t care and beats on Energy. Studwell gets the tag, and things go downhill for Riptcorn as the heels work over Studwell. Studwell gets the blind tag, but Bonhart artfully distracted the referee. Studwell hot tags Corn Boi who cleans house until he decides to tag Studwell back in. After a brief kerfuffle we get stereo finishers from our technico team to the chagrin to bald men everywhere. However, Riptcorn weren’t done yet, and hit stereo splashes to end the show to ensure that everyone leaves happy.
Once again, SCW Pro provided a night of inexpensive family entertainment for the crowd at Blue Grass. From here, we are gearing up for Hawkamania XLI: Folk Heroes on November 16th at Wildwood in Iowa City…featuring the return of the menace that is the 1 Called Manders. SCW Pro returns to Blue Grass on December 7th for Seasons Beatings. SCW Pro can be found on social media on Facebook and Twitter.
Rob Kamerer is the host of the MLW Con-Fusion podcast, and a 1 Called Manders truther. He can be found on Facebook and Twitter.
