The Chicago Bears and their fans are no strangers to heartbreaking ways to lose games. We all know and remember the Cobb 4th & 8, Aaron Rodgers 20 point comeback and the infamous double doink vs the Eagles.

However, Sunday vs the Commanders just seemingly has sucked the life out of the fans. Chicago looking to keep pace in their otherwise dominate division had the Commanders down to 1 final play: Hail Mary.

Without explanation, the Bears only rushed 3 and let Jayden Daniels buy time and heave one toward the end zone. The ball was short by about 3 yards, but the ball instead was batted up and caught for a TD by Noah Brown. Sealing the Commanders a W and giving the Bears a heartbreaking loss that they simply couldn’t afford.

Now sitting at 4-3 and the rest of their division at least at 5-2, the Bears must take their next 2 vs the Cardinals and Patriots to have a shot with the rest of their schedule made up with divisional opponents. Safe to say some uneasy times right now in the Windy City.

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
