Final: Cowboys 20 – Steelers 17

In a game that was delayed 90 minutes due to lightning, the Dallas Cowboys clinched a dramatic 20-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium. Dak Prescott fumbled, threw 2 interceptions, but delivered when it mattered most. The NFL’s highest-paid player delivered a strike to WR Jalen Tolbert with 20 seconds to go that lifted the Dallas Cowboys to a 20-17 victory early Monday morning.

  • Keys to the Game:

  • Dak Prescott, despite early turnovers, led a game-winning drive that culminated in the decisive touchdown. He finished 29/42 for 352 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.
  • Jalen Tolbert stepped up in the absence of Brandin Cooks, making the game-winning catch. Tolbert finished with 7 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown.
  • Rico Dowdle looks like the true RB1 for the Cowboys. Dowdle finished with 87 rushing yards, 27 receiving yards including an amazing touchdown catch in the 4th quarter.
  • Cowboys Defense: The defense, despite missing Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence, managed to contain the Steelers’ offense, allowing only 17 points. Demarvion Overshown led all defenders with 6 tackles.
  • Cowboys Offense: Despite stalling in the red-zone on numerous occasions, the offense out gained the Steelers 445 yards to 226. The Cowboys had more first downs(25 to 17), rushing yards(109 to 92) and passing yards(336 to 134).

The Cowboys will enjoy the victory today but get back to work preparing for the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon in Dallas. With Sunday’s win the Cowboys move to 3-2 overall, 2nd behind the Commanders in the NFC East. The Steelers drop to 3-2 overall, tied for the lead with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.
