The Dallas Cowboys will travel to Pittsburgh on Sunday, to play the Steelers, on Sunday Night Football.

The Cowboys who righted the ship, vs the Giants last week, will be without their two bookends on defense. Micah Parsons who injured his ankle, and Demarcus Lawrence who will be out, 4-8 weeks. So the old cliche, of next man up will come to play, tomorrow evening.

This game will be a gut check for both teams. The Cowboys are hoping to prove to the world, that they are more than the team, that looked like world beaters vs the Browns in Week 1, and not the team that was shredded vs the Saints and Ravens, in which their defense went to sleep. Pittsburgh came down to earth, after the Leagues number one defense, were manhandled by the Colts 27-24.

While the Cowboys will be without Micah Parsons, Americas team, believe they have enough depth to pull this one out.

These two teams know something in playing in Prime Time. The Cowboys have the most victories at 106, with the Steelers a close second at 98.

This will be a homecoming for Mike McCarthy, who is a Pittsburgh native. He grew up in the glory years of the Steelers Franchise in the 1970’s with the vaunted Steel Curtain defense. Two of those victories came vs the Cowboys. That’s a conversation for another day.

Dak Presocott might have to carry the team in this game. And it could be the Ceedee Lamb show again. As well Brandon Cooks will miss four games, with a infection he caught in New York. So the third string wideouts will have to make some plays, in Brandon Tolbert and Jalen Brooks.

Final Analysis:

The defense has to lead the way this season, and even without Parsons, they do have the pieces to make some key defensive stops. And considering that the Steelers have trouble moving the ball, if the Cowboys can get a few key stops, control the clock and make the passes down the field , to Ceedee Lamb and Jake Ferguson they will squeeze out a close win.
