We head to Lumen Field for Week 1 showdown between the visiting Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks. There is a lot of optimism in Denver around rookie QB Bo Nix. Nix played extremely well in the preseason and earned the starting job for the Broncos. Most of the joy come from Broncos fans knowing they don’t have to see Russell Wilson take another snap under cent for their football team.
Seattle returns a similar roster from last season, but made a huge acquisition signing Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald to replace head coach Pete Carrol. Expect MacDonald to throw a lot of pressure at Nix with the 12th man roaring in their home opener.
Denver defense also isn’t what it use to be giving up 26ppg last season. Bo Nix looks like he’s going to be a solid NFL QB, but this is a tough spot on the road to start your NFL career.
