Demarvion Overshown is ready to hit the 2024 NFL with full speed, vs the Cleveland Browns, when the Dallas Cowboys open their season on Sunday.

in 2023, his rookie season was cut short, when he suffered a devastating ACl injury.

Overshown has been able to rehab with no setbacks this past season, and from all indications in the three preseason games so far, he is ready to make an immediate impact in Mike Zimmers‘s defense, where linebackers are the key, for his defense to succeed.

Overshown is the best linebacker in a three down set, the Cowboys need as the season progresses, as his sideline to sideline play was very evident, in the first preseason game vs the Los Angeles Chargers as he shot out of the gate, to stop the run. If he can translate his play, from the preseason to the regular season, he will be the missing link, the Cowboys have been looking for in elite Linebacker plays. They haven’t had a dominant linebacker since Sean Lee and with Leighton Van Deresch retiring last year.

During his elite college career, with the Texas Longhorns, Overshown converted from safety to linebacker, so he is more then adequate to assume the position nicely, and will also be called on linebacker blitzes, which Mike Zimmer likes to employ in his defense.

On Sunday we shall see if Overshown’s talents will come to fruit as the Cowboys travel to Cleveland to play the Browns.
