Tampa Bay Fla. — Jake Paul fulfilled his promise to knock out Mike Perry after a more extended battle than expected. The fight took place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, and was broadcast live on DAZN on a Saturday night. Originally scheduled to face Mike Tyson, Paul faced Perry instead due to Tyson’s injury.

The fight concluded when Paul unleashed a series of powerful shots that overwhelmed Perry, leading to a decisive right hand that sent the former UFC star to the canvas. Despite getting up before the count, Perry struggled to follow the referee’s instructions and the fight was ultimately stopped.

Paul secured his third knockdown with an overhand right in the first round and a well-executed left-right combination in the second. Despite Perry’s resilience and landing some punches, he could not counter Paul’s jabs, ultimately leading to his knockout defeat.

Following his 10th boxing victory (10-1, 7 KOs), Paul urged Tyson to finalize their planned November bout. Additionally, he surprised many by challenging Brazilian UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and received a FaceTime call from Pereira in the ring, warning him “The bigger they are, the harder they fall. You’re light work.”

Is Jake Paul Good For Boxing?

Since Jake has come to the world of boxing, fighters are in higher demand, making more money and finding more promotion opportunities.

But at what cost?

Many detractors say that he is ruining the sport and making a mockery of it. I think Jake is definitely a plus for the sport of boxing.
