On July 13th, the people braved the heat to come out to the Blue Grass Community Center in Blue Grass Iowa to watch SCW Pro’s Red, White, & Bruised!
The show starts off with our Heavyweight Champion, “The Devil Dog” Dustan Moseley coming to the ring. He takes the mic and lets the room know that July brings out the Devil in this Dog, and he is ready for whomever challenges him next after tonight’s six-man scramble. QC Cup holder John Bonhart and his manager, Mark Storm come out. Storm asks if Moseley is ready for a challenge and offers Bonhart in a Championship match right now. Moseley says he is down for a title unification match. Storm disagrees. It will only be the Heavyweight Championship defended tonight. Moseley agrees and the match is right now!
SCW Pro Heavyweight Championship: “The Devil Dog” Dustan Moseley (c) vs. John Bonhart w/Mark Storm.
Despite wanting this match and the bell ringing, Bonhart is not ready for this match and needs several nine counts to do calisthenics. Once Bonhart decides to wrestle, it almost immediately becomes a handicap match with the amount of interference Storm is providing. However, Ript Studwell comes in and runs Storm off, allowing Moseley to soley focus on Bonhart, and put Bonhart away with the jackhammer to retain the championship.

Carlos Oliva vs. Mason Beck
This is Beck’s first appearance since failing to regain the SCW Pro Championship at Epic. Oliva appeared to have a death wish, as he brought the Guatemalan Dragon fire to Beck. However, Beck was not amused and unleashed a flurry of chops that I could feel in the crowd. Beck looked to finish things quickly with the Beck Bomb, but Oliva kicked out! With quiet rage, Beck pounded Oliva with more chops before a second Beck Bomb to down the upstart.

SCW Pro Tag Team Championship: The Chosen w/Evangeline vs. JaxAmore (c)
An exciting match between the high-flying champions and the combination of power and finesse from the challengers. Lots of back-and-forth action between the two teams. However, the champions looked to have things won with a pair of top rope splashes when Augustus Draven (who may or may not be Emo Braveheart) elbows the referee to cause the disqualification. I view it as remedying ref bias…but what do I know? Either way, the Chosen left JaxAmore laying in the center of the ring.

ACH vs. Shain Boucher
This is ACH’s first match in nearly two years and he battles one of the underrated cornerstones of SCW Pro in Shain Boucher. Despite the layoff, ACH displayed very little ring rust as he dominated the match. Boucher looked to make it a challenge with a superplex, but was no match for a tigerbomb and Texas cloverleaf pinning combination.

JP Finger & Krotch vs. Super Hick Party
Before the match begins, JP Finger gets the mic and reminds the crowd that Jared Thumb tried to murder him by throwing him off the roof of the Thumb homestead and not once did Thumb apologize. Either way, we have a match. The crowd was hot for these two-fan favorite teams. Finger was always eager to take the fight to Thumb. However, the animosity became too much for the for tag-team partners, as the stuck each other with fingers up the bum…getting their respective appendages stuck in their respective orifices. Brewster and Krotch attempted to separate the two, only to be struck in the bums themselves! This was too much for Krotch and Brewster, who abandon their partners mid-match. Despite all the shenanigans, Thumb hit the stunner to give the Super Hick Party the victory.
“Prime Time” James Thomas vs. Bruss Hamilton
The match is immediately thrown out as Thomas and his security, Brandon Becker, attacked Hamilton from behind. Hamilton bests his attackers when SCW Pro Commissioner, Sean Morrow, makes a two on one handicap match for Anniversary: James Thomas and Brandon Becker vs. Bruss Hamilton!

Ript Studwell vs. Cash Kennedy
Kennedy took the fight to the much stronger Studwell for most of the match. However, the real story is that John Bonhart and Mark Storm came out for revenge; with Bonhart jumping on the ring apron to scream at Studwell. This distraction was all for naught as Studwell dodges a Kennedy sneak attack, with Kennedy crashing into Bonhart. One scoop slam and big splash later and Ript Studwell is victorious.
Scramble for #1 Contendership for the SCW Pro Championship: Deonn Rusman vs. JT Energy vs. Eric Eznite vs. Corn Boi vs. Shane Hollister vs. Dante Leon
They crammed all the top stars of SCW Pro into the main event. The bell had not even rung yet nor all the competitors entered the ring when Deonn Rusman started the fight with a big spear to rival JT Energy. Things further broke down as each competitor entered the fray. In addition to the Energy-Rusman rivalry, we also watched Eric Eznite demand that Shane Hollister step down so that Eznite could get the pin, as Hollister is currently forced to be Eznite’s lackey. The action remained chaotic as the crowd was privy to stereo tower of dooms spots and a six-person sleeper hold chain. However, it was a Hollister buzzsaw kick on JT that Eznite took advantage of to gain the pinfall and take one step closer to fulfilling the prophecy.
Yes, the weather was hot, but the action was hotter as SCW starts the road to Anniversary in September. The next stop along that tour is SCW Pro Hot, Hot, Hot on August 10th at the Blue Grass Community Center in Blue Grass Iowa. You can follow SCW Pro on most social media at @SCWPro.
