New York City, MSG—Zayas, who joined Top Rank at 16 and debuted as a professional boxer shortly after turning 17, dominated all fight.

Zayas controlled the match with body punches, landing 10 in the second round and nine in the third compared to Teixeira’s three. Zayas maintained control throughout the fight, landing a total of 76 body punches to Teixeira’s 12 and a total of 204 punches to Teixeira’s 63.

Teixeira Was resilient, but Zayas remained aggressive and landed multiple significant shots to the head in later rounds.

Ultimately, Zayas secured a convincing victory, with two judges scoring every round in his favor, while the third gave one round to Teixeira. Teixeira’s toughness allowed him to last until the final bell despite facing significant pressure from Zayas all evening.

Shu Shu Wins Again!

In the co-main event on Saturday, Bruce Carrington, the winner of the 2020 Olympic trials and a native of New York City, delivered a knockout blow to his late-substitute opponent, Brayan De Gracia, in the eighth round of their featherweight bout.

“Shu Shu,” showcased his speed and aggression throughout the fight, knocking De Gracia down in the fifth and seventh rounds.

Carrington sealed the victory by cornering De Gracia against the ropes in the final moments of the eighth round, prompting the referee to stop the fight with just four seconds remaining before the bell. De Gracia, with a record of 29 wins and 4 losses with 25 knockouts, was unable to recover and was defeated by Carrington’s relentless assault.
