Ivan Demidov or Artyom Levshunov?
It is a question many Blackhawks fans and analysts have been asking since the Blackhawks locked up the #2 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and for good reason
Demidov is a potential Frontline partner with 2023 #1 pick Connor Bedard that could create instant magic. Levshunov is a 6’2 210 right handed defenseman and a dude who like Demidov can fill an immediate need. The Blackhawks prospect pool while substantially good has lacked a good right handed defenseman ever since the days of Brent Seabrook.
General Manager Kyle Davidson had done a phenomenal job with the Blackhawks rebuild at this point. Making numerous trades to acquire future picks to stockpile the pipeline that was lacking under former incumbent General Manager Stan Bowman. Now it is whether he values best player available or biggest need?
