Vasiliy Lomachenko put on a classic performance in Perth, Australia on Sunday.

Lomachenko reclaimed his championship title and solidified his status as one of the best in the sport. Since becoming a champion early in his career in 2014, Lomachenko has consistently shown his remarkable skills.

His victory over George Kambosos Jr. to win the IBF lightweight title highlighted his exceptional talent once again. This win, achieved at the age of 36, showcased Lomachenko’s extraordinary ability in the ring. By defeating Kambosos, who had never been stopped until now, and only lost to top fighters like Devin Haney, Lomachenko proves he can still dominate in the sport.

This victory over Kambosos, sealed with a decisive stoppage in the 11th rd, exemplified Lomachenko’s boxing brilliance and marked a significant moment in his career. Lomachenko is back at the top of the lightweight division alongside the linked of Tank Davis and Shakur Stevenson.

What’s Next For The Champ?

Well there is one option that got floated during the fight last night, a unification against Gervonta “Tank” Davis, the WBA lightweight champion.

Tank responded to a fans tweet(which he has since deleted) and said “He’s[Lomachenko] is after Frank….let me get Frank first”

So obviously the WBA champ is open to it. Shakur Stevenson, the WBC champion at lightweight also put several posts on X, basically calling out Loma.

I just assume the powers that be will line up Lomachenko and Navarrete next. What do boxing fans think?

Is this the fight every boxing fan wants at lightweight?

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
