Holding 6 picks in the top 100 (2,36,40,67,78,100) and plenty of holes in the team, the Commanders can use this plethora of draft capital to seal some holes. And just what are those holes? Funny you should ask because in an article that was published yesterday, I give you the top 3 needs for the Washington Commanders. You can read that article here.

Pick #2, Quarterback: Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye.
I’ve already done a piece on my opinion of which of these two to select. Both are great options who will be a day 1 starter in Washington. You can read my opinion here.

Pick #36, Jordan Morgan (OT Arizona) Kingsley Suamataia (OT BYU) Kool-Aid McKinstrey (CB Alabama).
For pick 36 I’ve elected to most likely tackle (no pun intended) the offensive tackle position. The Commanders having one of the worst performing offensive lines in the league last season, using an early round pick to try and find a cornerstone of your offensive line is necessary. Kool-Aid McKinstry is my alternate pick where if he in some unlikely scenario falls out of the first round, you take the gamble a tackle is at 40 and scoop him up.

Pick #40, Keon Coleman (WR Florida State) Xavier Legette (WR South Carolina) , (WR Oregon).
Pick 40 in my opinion should be used to grab one of the top receivers in this class. I have said before that this WR class is one of the most stacked in recent history and taking one here would be massive. Pairing together the duo of Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson with another proven college prospect would not hurt at all.

Pick #67, Jatavion Sanders (TE Texas) Edgerrin Cooper (LB Texas A&M) Austin Booker (Edge Kansas) Blake Fisher (OT Notre Dame).
This is where is starts to get a bit scrambled due to what the Commanders due with prior picks. Jatavion being at 67 is quite unlikely but if he is you immediately jump on getting the consensus #2 tight end on the board. Austin Booker had a great past season at Kansas recording 9 sacks and climbing from a projected 5th to 6th round pick to mid to late 3rd.

Pick #78, Devontez Walker (WR UNC) Johnny Wilson (WR Florida State) Khyree Jackson (CB Oregon) Erick All (TE Iowa).
Depending on if Washington takes a receiver early or not you still have 2 great and likely to be available options in Tez Walker and Johnny Wilson. Khyree Jackson is one of the most underrated Corner prospects in my opinion and tackling tight end with a slight reach yet great pick in my eyes in Erick All would be a great scenario to even further bolster the Commanders offense.

Pick #100, Cade Stover (TE Ohio State) Ben Sinnott (TE Kansas State) Kamren Kinchens (S Miami) Jarrion Jones (CB Florida State).
With pick 100, this is where I see it being very likely the Commanders take a tight end. You still have great options here with Stover and Sinnott who both put up decent seasons for Ohio State and Kansas State respectively. While safety might not be a glaring need with the addition of Jeremy Chinn, I am personally very high on Kinchens, coming off a down year at Miami he showed plenty of flashes of who he was last year proving he could end up being a mid round steal. Jarrion Jones was one of the members of the amazing Florida State defense this past year.
