According to multiple sources, including NFL Insider Ian Rapaport, the Cleveland Browns have signed newly acquired WR Jerry Jeudy to a brand new 3 year contract extension worth up to as much as $58 million dollars, with $41 million of it guaranteed.
The Browns traded for Jeudy on March 9th of this year, bringing him in from the Denver Broncos in exchange for a 2024 fifth and sixth round pick.
Jerry Jeudy was drafted by the Broncos with the 15th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, out of the University of Alabama.
Denver was hoping that he’d be their #1 WR for the next ten years, but things just never seemed to work out for neither party.
Jeudy will be the Browns WR2 behind current WR1 Amari Cooper, who is in a contract year himself.
The exact numbers of the new contract have yet to be released.
The Browns will now roll out with, what on paper, seems like a high powered offense.
Watson at QB, Chubb at HB, Cooper and Jeudy as WRs, and Njoku at TE. Behind what is considered to be the best or a Top 3 offensive line.
The 2024-2025 season is shaping up to be a “no excuses” season for the Watson and this Browns offense.
