We head to the T Mobile Arena inLas Vegas, as the Golden Knights welcome in the New Jersey Devils. Both teams are coming in off a loss, as the Devils fell to the lowly Arizona Coyotes Saturday afternoon 4-1. The Golden Knights ended their quick two game road trip with a 4-1 loss to the Calgary Flames. Neither team is playing good hockey at the moment. New Jersey is 3-7 in their last ten, while the Knights are 3-6-1 across their last ten matchups.

Vegas is more rested than New Jersey, not playing since Thursday. They currently sit two points behind the Kings in the Pacific division. They’re also holding onto the final wild card spot.they have a three point lead over the Minnesota Wild, who are on the outside looking in.
Logan Thompson has been confirmed the starting goalie for the Knights. He hasn’t started since giving up seven goals against the Buffalo Sabers. Thompson will look to shake that off and get back in the win column with a current 17-12-5 record on the season.
Mathematically, New Jersey is still in the playoff picture, but would have to go on an incredible run to end the season and jump over four teams to clinch a playoff berth.
The offense for the Devils has really been struggling being held to two goals or less in six of their last seven games. New Jersey does play its best hockey on the road with a 17-14-2 record away from Prudential, but lately it hasn’t mattered.
The line for this game has been getting steamed up which makes me a lil nervous, but there’s too much at stake for the Knights to drop this one. With LA losing yesterday to the Stars this gives them a perfect chance to tie them in points and create some separation against Minnesota. Vegas should have fresh legs and revenge on their mind falling to New Jersey 6-5 back in late January.
For best value will need the Knights to take care of business at home and in regulation.
