According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles Chargers are trading star wide receiver Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
This move provides the Bears with another elite pass-catching threat to pair alongside D.J. Moore, and with the expectation that Chicago will use the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft on USC quarterback Caleb Williams, it adds more firepower to aid in the development of their new franchise passer.

Bears offseason additions so far:
- WR Keenan Allen
- RB D’Andre Swift
- TE Gerald Everett
- S Kevin Byard
- C Coleman Shelton
- DB Jonathan Owens
Chicago appears to be tooling up for a strong campaign in the NFC North in 2024.
So What’s Happening In LA?
It’s one of several cost-cutting measures the Chargers have undertaken to kick off their 2024 offseason, including the release of wide receiver Mike Williams, and restructured contracts for top pass rushers Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa.
The Chargers spent their first-round pick last year on wide receiver Quentin Johnston, and with the current No. 5 pick in this year’s first round, they could potentially use that selection on another blue-chip receiver like Washington’s Rome Odunze or LSU’s Malik Nabers.
