We head to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, in Cleveland, Ohio as the Cavaliers welcome in the visiting Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have been a mess all year. Recently firing head coach Jacque Vaughn, it hasn’t given the Nets the spark I’m sure management was hoping a new voice would create. Ben Simmons once again has been shut down for the season due to back issues, playing eight games in February giving false hope to Brooklyn fans that he was back full time.

The Nets are just 9-21 on the road and have dropped their previous two matchups against Detroit and Charlotte away from home. Cleveland enters today’s contest off of a huge emotional overtime win against the Timberwolves. The Cavaliers are 22-11 at home and are fighting off the Milwaukee for the Central Division. With just a half game lead on Milwaukee, Cleveland can’t let games against under .500 opponents go to waste.

With that said, after a huge win against Minnesota and Kevin Durant and the Suns on deck tomorrow night, this is a huge let down spot for the Cavs. I can see them just getting in and getting out not caring how much they win by as long as they win. After losing to Charlotte and Detroit the Nets should show some heart against a contender as they still rank top 20 in offensive and defensive rating. Give me Brooklyn to cover in a sandwich spot for Cleveland.

Official Pick: Nets +7.5 -110

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
