Bron signed a developmental deal with WWE in February 2021. Then made his debut on NXT on September 14th 2021. He has now made his Smackdown debut. In doing so he has had a few squash matches, but nothing major. If he is going to be a main event player, which I think he has the capability to be, then he needs to be in a major feud. That feud has to be calculated and planned to get him over.

I have three suggestions for such a feud. I will write about them below starting with my least favorite feud to the one I would do if I was head of creative. Take a couple minutes, sit down at WWE’s creative table with me, then comment below on which idea you like best, or what you would pitch if you had a seat at the table.

CAMERON GRIMES

Grimes is another guy who creative seems to have nothing for. He would at least be a name for Bron to face, and they have NXT experience with each other so just carry that onto the Smackdown roster.

THE SETUP

Next week have another squash match with Bron prevailing, and have Cameron come through the crowd and jump him from behind and leave him laying. You get a series of three matches where Bron wins two of them and he is off and running. Cameron sells well, so Bron could really punish him in the final match and he would leave the feud a heel.

HE IS THE NEXT PAUL HEYMAN GUY

Some people who follow wrestling are expecting Bron to join the Bloodline. I would do it a little different. This would have to occur after WrestleMania after Roman Reins looses, or you could even have Bron do a run in at WrestleMania and be the reason Roman loses the match to Cody. Paul would jump to Bron much like he jumped from Brock to Roman.

This could have some really good matches for Bron against Jimmy Uso and Solo until Roman returns after some time off and Roman and Bron have a big epic match at SummerSlam or Survivor Series. There are a few problems with this sinario, like do you put him in a feud with the Bloodline right off the bat? Do you want to make Solo look weak after you have spent so much time making him larger than life?

BARON CORBIN

I have noticed Bron does not carry the NXT tag team title that he and Baron won in NXT. I am not sure why as it would shine a light on NXT thru the much larger viewing audience of Smackdow. But, I would turn that fact into this feud.

THE SETUP

I would have Baron come out to the ring with both titles after one of Bron’s squash matches. I would have Baron ask Bron if he is too good to wear the tag titles they won together in NXT? Then, ask Bron if he is too good for Baron Corbin now that he made it to the main roster? They go nose to nose in the ring and then they start swinging on each other.

This would be a way to pull Corbin back up to the main roster. Not to mention, it would give Bron a credible opponent to his first feud with a nice set up, and gives a good rub to NXT as well.

They could also work in the fact that Baron won’t say the tag team name from NXT and this would allow NXT to vacate the titles and have a tournament for those titles or something similar. These guys already have chemistry and have already worked together. Baron is about Bron’s same size and would give him more credibility than if he simply beat Cameron Grimes.
