Dallas—Jerry Jones faces more than just the NFC playoff race this year. A Texas judge ruled that the Dallas Cowboys owner must undergo a paternity test in a legal case brought by Alexandra Davis, who alleges that the billionaire is her father.

Davis, 26, filed a lawsuit in March claiming Jones had been providing hush money to her and her mother for years. Despite Jones denying paternity and Davis dropping the lawsuit in April, she continues to pursue claims against him.

In her initial legal action, Davis stated that Jones and her mother, Cynthia, began a relationship in the mid-1990s, resulting in her birth on Dec. 16, 1996.

As per the lawsuit, Jones and Cynthia Davis reached an agreement wherein he made approximately $430,000 in three installments to her and established two trusts for Alexandra.

The agreement stipulated that if either Cynthia or Alexandra asserted Jones’ paternity, financial assistance would cease. Jones did not acknowledge paternity in the agreement, and as stated in the lawsuit, he and Alexandra have never crossed paths.

Not long after Davis withdrew her lawsuit, she initiated the paternity claim against Jones.

Judge T. Jones Abendroth ruled Thursday that “after careful consideration,” she would require Jones to complete genetic tests.

Jerry Jones has been married to his wife Gene since 1963. They have three children together.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
