On Monday afternoon, it was reported that the New York Jets organization like the Washington Commanders quarterback, Sam Howell, according to NFL reporter, Connor Hughes.
With the NFL Draft coming up in April, some mock drafts expect the Washington Commanders to take Drake Maye, second overall, following number one pick, Caleb Williams.
Howell, a former North Carolina Tar Heel, has played his first full season with the Commanders in 2023, starting in 17 games, holding a record of 4-13, 388 completions in 612 attempts, 3,946 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, 21 interceptions, 2 comebacks, and 2 game winning drives.
With the Jets having interest in Howell, and having at least another year of Aaron Rodgers, soon it will be time to find the successor to Rodgers and the Jets. Can Howell possibly follow in the footsteps as Rodgers successor, similar to Jordan Love in Green Bay? Time will obviously only tell.
