NFL: Vikings Reportedly Hesitant On Justin Jefferson Fully Guarenteed Contract

On Sunday evening, Dov Kleiman reported that the Minnesota Vikings are “hesitant” on giving Justin Jefferson a new fully guaranteed money contract according to Pro Football Talk.

Following one year of a potential contract the team is concerned about the structure and not the money, plus according to Tom Pelissero, Jefferson wants to know what the Vikings future plans are at quarterback before he commits.

A future contract for Jefferson might end up looking similar to someone like Trevor Bauer’s was in baseball a few years back, which eventually turned to a benefit on the baseball side for Bauer.

Justin Jefferson has been in the league for four years, all with the Vikings, playing in 60 regular season games (starting 57 games), targeted 576 times maintaining 392 receptions, throughout his four year career the Vikings wide out has 5,899 receiving yards, and 30 career touchdowns.

Jefferson is a three time pro bowler, voted the AP Offensive Player of the Year in 2022, and also finished in second for the Offensive Rookie of the Year back in 2020.

What would be the better option for the Vikings; to give Jefferson a fully guaranteed contract, or potentially issue a yearly contract? Let us know on X @WeLikeSportzPC what you think?
