We head to the Moody Coliseum in Dallas, TX as the SMU Mustangs welcome in the Memphis Tigers. A Sunday clash between two AAC opponents, both teams come in 18-7 on the season. The Tigers have no issue putting the ball in the basketball, averaging 80.2 ppg ranking them 45th in the country. SMU game plan will be to slow the game down, as they play at an extremely slow pace. The Mustangs defense also ranks 17th in the country, so baskets won’t come easy for the Tigers.

These two teams faced off earlier last month, with Memphis coming away with a 62-59 victory. SMU lead 36-24 at half before the Tigers were able to comeback and grab a narrow victory. Neither team shot well, but SMU shot 3/21 from behind the arch and 22/65 from field. The Mustangs took 14 more shot attempts than Memphis and still converted less makes.

The difference today will be the home court advantage. The Moody Coliseum has become a tough place to play, as the Mustangs are 12-2 at home. SMU is playing their best basketball of the season, on a five game winning streak and undefeated in the month of February (knock on wood). The Mustangs 8-2 over their last ten, will use its defense to exploit Memphis turnover issues, as they average 13 per game. SMU wins the revenge game and helps us put some money in the account.

Official Pick: SMU -4.5 -110

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
