Las Vegas—Luke Getsy has been appointed as the offensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders, transitioning from his role as the offensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears. With 17 years of coaching experience, including nine in the NFL, Getsy brings a wealth of expertise to his new position.

During his tenure with the Bears, Getsy oversaw an offense that excelled in rushing, ranking second in the NFL in rushing attempts(534), rushing yards(2399), and rushing yards per game(142.1) in the 2023 season.

He also played a pivotal role in the development of key players like wide receiver DJ Moore (96 reception, 1364 yards and 8 TD’s) and tight end Cole Kmet(73 receptions and 719 yards), who achieved career highs under his guidance.

Prior to his time with the Bears, Getsy spent seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers in various capacities, contributing to the success of the team’s offense and aiding in the development of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Additionally, Getsy has experience coaching at the collegiate level, including a stint as offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach at Mississippi State. With his extensive background and track record of success, Getsy is poised to make significant contributions to the Raiders’ offensive strategy.

So here is the real question Raider Nation: What do you think about this hire? Did the Raiders score, or is their reason for concern?
