The Professional Football Writers of America have voted Cleveland Browns defensive end, Myles Garrett, their Defensive Player of the Year..
Myles Garrett in his 7th season, became the 1st Browns player to ever win the award.
He was the number one pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, out of Texas A&M University. The highest pick ever for the universities football program.
Garrett started 16 games this season, finishing with a team high 14 sacks. He added 17 tackles for loss with 30 quarterback hits.
He had a 42 total tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 3 passes defended.
He had a spectacular blocked field goal attempt in the game against the Indianapolis Colts, in which he completely leaped over the left guard, without ever touching him.
Garrett is the only active NFL player to have 10 or more sacks in each of the last six seasons.
He’s only the seventh player in the history of the NFL to accomplish that feat.

Myles Garrett has been everything the organization has asked and hope for since drafting him.
In addition to his stellar play on the field, he’s active off the field with his efforts in the community.
His work with NFL Waterboys program, where he is the captain of the program, which provides clean drinking water to people all of the world. He took over the position from Chris Long in 2019.
Hopefully this is a prelude, to him being named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
An award for which he is long overdue. Let us know on X @WeLikeSportzPC what you think?
