According to multiple sources, the Cleveland Browns have made 2 new coaching hires in the last few days.
It was announced today, that they’ve hired former NFL running back Duce Staley to be the new running backs coach.
See my previous article, about Staley and his coaching career.
The Browns are also set to hire former Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, to be the new tight ends coach.
Rees was a 3-year starter at quarterback for the University of Notre Dame.
After going undrafted, he became a graduate assistant at the University of Northwestern in 2015.
In 2016, he became an offensive assistant with the San Diego Chargers.
In 2017, he went back to his alma mater, where he was hired on as the quarterbacks coach. He had that role from 2017 to 2022.
Starting in 2020, he was promoted to offensive coordinator position for the Fighting Irish.
He left Notre Dame after Marcus Freeman was hired as head coach, to become the offensive coordinator under legendary head coach Nick Saban, at the University of Alabama.

He now joins Stefanski’s staff, with the hopes of helping Browns star tight end David Njoku, continue to rise in the league.
