On Friday afternoon, MLB Network Insider, Jon Heyman, reported that Josh Hader signed a five year deal with the Houston Astros.
According to Jeff Passan, the contract is worth $95 million.
Hader previously played with the San Diego Padres the past two seasons, and playing six years with the Milwaukee Brewers.
The former Padres closer has been in the league for seven years, having a career record of 20-21, 2.50 ERA, has appeared in 349 games, 165 saves, 388.2 innings pitched, 648 strikeouts, 157 walks, and is a five time all star.
Hader in 2023 was an All-Star and appeared in 61 games, having a record of 2-3, 1.28 ERA, 33 saves, 56.1 innings pitched, 85 strikeouts and 30 walks.
