Kyle Connor made a comeback with an empty-net goal after being absent for 16 games, while Mason Appleton ended a 25-game scoring drought, contributing to the Winnipeg Jets’ victory over the New York Islanders on Tuesday.

Gabriel Vilardi and Neal Pionk also found the net for the Jets, who had an eight-game win streak and a 14-game point run. their momentum halted with a 2-0 loss to Philadelphia on Saturday.
