The Green Bay Packers have accomplished what they couldn’t last season. They snuck into the playoffs after beating a divisional rival at home in week 18.

After a very impressive win at home, in which Jordan Love threw for 316 yards and 2 touchdowns, the Packers have officially punched their ticket into the wildcard round in Dallas, Texas.

The Packers go into the game as the severe underdogs currently sitting at a +260 to come out of the game with a win against the Cowboys. These odds seem incredibly low.

Considering the Packers are arguably the hottest team in football at the moment, winning of 6 out of the last 8 games they’ve played in, with plenty of momentum behind them. All the while Jordan Love is riding an absolute heater with an 18/1 TD to INT ratio in that same stretch of games. However this game will truly be a test for the emerging franchise QB.

Green Bay will be facing a 12-5 Cowboys team that boasts the 4th ranked offense in yards and 1st in points. On defense they enter the game ranked 6th in yards and 5th in points, holding opponents to an impressive 18.5 points per game.

The Cowboys have not performed well against teams above .500 with their record at 4-4 in those games. They are one questionable call at the end of the Detroit game from being 3-5. This calls into question their ability against quality teams.

The Cowboys defense has also allowed 100 rushing yards, or more, in an astonishing 10 out of 17 games this season. This is important because Aaron Jones’s career stats against the cowboys include an impressive total of 67 carries for 370 yards and 6 touchdowns.

So it is almost a guarantee the Packers coaching staff has those rushing defense numbers circled, and plan to let Aaron Jones loose for what seems to be his favorite team to play against.

It’s time for the youngest team in the league to introduce themselves on the planets biggest stage. The NFL playoffs. Let’s Go Packers!
