Eric Stokes has officially been ruled out against the Vikings this Sunday. This could not have come at a more crucial for the Green Bay Packers Defense, with All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander, already serving a questionable suspension for naming himself captain, and going out for the coin-toss against the Carolina Panthers.

These injuries, suspensions, and even the trading away of fan favorite, Rasul Douglas, have left the Green Bay Packers secondary paper thin. This is terrible timing for a situation like this during a very crucial stretch of the season, with the playoffs just within their reach.

It seems that the fate of the Packers playoff hopes will be in the hands of rookie seventh round pick Carrington Valentine, and All-Pro return man Keisean Nixon, but, with a matchup against the Vikings who are third in the league in passing yards, and with the man who many agree is the best receiver in all of football, Justin Jefferson. In addition to all of that they have a rookie who has absolutely burst onto the scene, inside of this offense it certainly does not bode well for this playoff hopeful team.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
