The injuries continue to pile up for the Cleveland Browns.

With over a quarter of their salary cap already on the Injured Reserved List, the Browns are dealing with injuries to BOTH of their kicking specialists.

Both of them have been vital components to the Browns magical season.

Hopkins has 4 game winning kicks this season, after coming over in a trade from the Los Angeles Chargers for only a 5th Round pick.

Bojorquez was a free agent signing before the season started, and is averaging a whooping 49.5 yards per kick this season with 27 of them, inside the 20.

The Browns have signed kicker Riley Patterson to the “practice squad” to replace Dustin Hopkins, who was injured in the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s game against the Texans.

Patterson was undrafted coming out of Memphis and is in his 3rd season in the NFL. He’s played in 37 career games, making 87.9% of his kicks, and making 87 out of 90 PAT’s, while playing between Detroit and Jacksonville.

The Browns have also signed punter Matt Haack to the “practice squad” as well. He will replace Corey Bojorquez, who injured his quad in the 4th quarter of Sunday’s game.

Matt Haack was undrafted out of Arizona State. He spent his first four seasons with Miami, before spending a season each, in Buffalo and Indianapolis.

He has a career average of 44.5 yards per punt with a long of 70 yards, and 160 kicks, downed inside in the 20.

The Cleveland Browns look to clinch a playoff spot with a win against the New York Jets on Thursday Night. Game starts at 8:15 PM (EST) on Amazon Prime.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
