Sean’s Top 3 Games For Week 16

What a wild week 15 in the NFL it was.

The Cowboys got their asses handed to them by the Bills.

The Browns continue to win games with only one starting offensive lineman, and over a quarter of its entire roster, LITERALLY on injured reserve. They lead the league in injuries. It’s ridiculous.

The Jaguars are falling apart, and the AFC South is looking to be up in the air. Speaking of that division, with the Colts beating the Steelers on Saturday night, and the Texans winning in overtime over the Titans. All three of them could make the playoffs and still have host a home game.

The Cincinnati Bengals, being led by QB Jake Browning are in a position to make a Wildcard spot, even after losing Joe Burrows.

All of that is now in the record books, and it’s time to look forward to Week 16.

There are a LOT of very good and intriguing games to choose from. It was one of the more difficult weeks, so far this season.

Alas, I was finally able to narrow it down.

So, without further ado, here are the 3 game you should watch.

Game One.

Baltimore Ravens (11-3) at San Francisco 49ers (11-3).
Game starts Monday Night, at 8:15 PM (EST) on ABC.

Two division leaders and current #1 seeds in their conferences, facing off against each other, in a prime time, Christmas game.

The NFL actually got something right for a change. Well, tis the season for miracles.

I’m not going to go on and on with some stats and hoopla. We all know about this game, what it means and who’s in it.

So just sit back with your Christmas snacks, some eggnog, and watch what’s gonna be a good game.

My Prediction – This is going to be a game of spurts. There will be times when points go up fast, and then points where nothing is happening. The 49ers have the deeper team and are playing at home.

49ers win 31-27.

Game Two.

Dallas Cowboys (10-1) at Miami Dolphins (10-4)
Game starts at 4:25 PM (EST) on FOX.

This game features 2 players in the thick of the NFL MVP discussion. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has been playing the best football of his career. He’s thrown for 3.639 yards, with 28 TDs and 7 INTs, with a QBR of 72.7. Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill is battling an ankle injury but still has 97 catches, for 1,542 yards with 12 TDs.

My Prediction – The Dolphins OL has 4 of 5 starters listed as questionable. That’s not good when you’re facing Micah freaking Parsons!!! The Cowboys struggle MIGHTILY on the road, but I think they start to right the ship in this game.

Cowboys win 28-20.

Game Three.

Jacksonville Jaguars (8-6) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-7).
Game starts at 4:05 PM (EST) on CBS.

These two teams are in “playoff mode” now. Both the Jaguars and Buccaneers can either host a playoff game OR completely miss the playoffs altogether.

Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield has been playing his best football since 2020, when he was with the Cleveland Browns. Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawerence is currently in “concussion protocol” (as of this writing) and has been struggling the last 3 games. He’s hasn’t missed a game in his NFL career so far. IF he can’t go, then C.J. Beathard will play.

My Prediction – This is a 50/50 game. You can’t trust the Bucs to be consistent, and Jags OL might be without it’s starting LT and LG. Jacksonville is 5-1 on the road this season too. Tampa Bay could be looking ahead to New Orleans next week, which will more than likely determine the winner of the NFC South division.

Jaguars win 28-23.

Honorable Mention.

Cleveland Browns (9-5) at Houston Texans (8-6)
Game starts at 1:00 PM (EST) on CBS.

Can QB Joe Flacco continue this magic carpet ride and lead the Browns to the playoffs?

The Browns actually have a slim chance to end up with the #1 or #2 seed in the AFC. Head Coach Kevin Stefanski DESERVES to be NFL Coach of the Year. Let’s not forget that Browns DC Jim Schwartz should also win the NFL Assistant Coach of the Year.
