Fort Greene, NY— The Knicks showed who the boss is in New York. On Wednesday night, they earned their first win in Brooklyn in four years, with Julius Randle throwing down 26 points and Donte DiVincenzo adding 23, leading to a 121-102 victory over the Nets.
The Knicks saw Immanuel Quickley score 19 points, while Jalen Brunson contributed 16 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. This was the Knicks third win against Brooklyn since they traded KD and Kyrie. However it was the first time they won in Brooklyn since Dec. 26, 2019.
The Knicks maintained a high level of energy throughout the game, holding the lead for the majority. DiVincenzo contributed with five 3-pointers and eight rebounds, while Josh Hart scored 10 points and secured 13 rebounds coming off the bench.
Cam Thomas and Cam Johnson added 20 points a piece for the Nets in their fourth consecutive loss. Meanwhile, Mikal Bridges continues to face challenges, going 4 for 21 and scoring 15 points, following a 4-for-16 performance on Monday against Utah.
The Knicks began the second half with an 11-0 run, taking a dominant 71-51 lead with Randle’s basket. DiVincenzo hit a basket and a 3-pointer in the surge, adding two more 3s to stop the Nets momentum.
“We both were on the West Coast. Nobody can use that as an excuse,” Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said. “They came back home, we came back home, played a game, same amount of rest, and they were better than us tonight in all facets of the game.”
The Knicks had to rely on their third starting center this season due to Jericho Sims being sidelined for at least a week or two with a right ankle sprain. this following Mitchell Robinson’s extended absence due to left ankle surgery.
Isaiah Hartenstein, previously the backup, stepped into the starting lineup on Wednesday and had 10 rebounds.

Up next the Knicks will host Milwaukee on Saturday. Game 1 of a 2-game series, which bag concludes on Christmas.
