Las Vegas— Sunday night at home against the Ottawa Senators(11-15-0), the Golden Knights(21-6-5) ran it up, with six different players scoring goals.

Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev both contributed a goal and an assist, with additional goals scored by Jonathan Marchessault, Nicolas Roy, Chandler Stephenson, and William Karlsson for the Golden Knights.

Adin Hill allowed 1 goal and had 2 saves before exiting, in his first start since November. Back-up Logan Thompson came in and had 20 saves as the Golden Knights defeated the Ottawa.

Vegas, now 10-1-0 historically against the Senators, increased its winning streak to nine games against Ottawa. The Golden Knights have scored 47 goals to the Senators’ 29 and have netted three or more goals in 10 out of their 11 encounters.

The Senators saw goals from Josh Norris, Ridly Greig, and Brady Tkachuk, while Joonas Korpisalo had 25 saves.

Following the disheartening loss to Buffalo on Friday, the defending champion, Knights swiftly took the lead. Barbashev, alongside Eichel in a 2-on-1 play, kept possession and scored with a snapper just 1:37 into the game.

Eichel’s point streak is a franchise-record 10 games now.

Five minutes later, the Senators retaliated, as Norris scored on a power play. Right after the Golden Knights’ star goaltender, Adin Hill scored the game.

Ottawa netted another goal on power-play as Greig unleashed a shot, behind the screen from Jiri Smejkal, Thompson never saw it coming.

At 13:32 in the first, Marchessault took it into the zone himself and equalized the game off a quick wrist-shot.

Following two failed power-play attempts, Roy got a pass from Ben Hutton, and went a forehand-backhand to score against Korpisalo, giving Vegas a one-goal advantage in the second.

Stephenson capitalized on a pass from Mark Stone, extending Vegas’ lead to two goals with a shorthanded score, while Roy was in the penalty box. Barbashev’s goal in the final 11.1 seconds of the period brought the score to 5-2.

Karlsson and Tkachuk each had a goal in the third period to bring the final score to 6-3 Golden Knights.

Up next the Golden Knights are at Carolina on Tuesday.
